Sašo Vrabič often uses photographs of ordinary scenes and people as motifs that he translates into paintings in a fairly realistic manner, without interfering with them significantly in either form or content. His “painterly” framing of the everyday, with the choice of motifs resembling that of some very attentive observer of humankind, depicts subtle emotional and social situations, empathy and solidarity (also between generations), the genuineness of human relations, etc., often adding a humorous note; in a light twist insinuated by the title, a woman working out in a pool can be suggestive of a religious rite.

Sašo Vrabič is an audiovisual artist. Finished studies in paintings and MA in graphic art and video at Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana. From 1996 he's been active at many group and solo exhibitions, and festivals over Europe, both Americas and Asia. He received some awards mostly for his work in painting and graphic art.
